Young people and women make up most of the refugee population, yet they are often left out when decisions are made. YAREN's leadership work gives them the skills and space to take part.

Our work so far
Youth leadership has been part of YAREN since our first sessions in Nakivale in 2017. Over the years we have supported young people to name the problems in their communities and lead the response. In 2023, YAREN worked with 223 teen mothers on livelihoods and reproductive health.
