Our Story
Founded in 2017 by Muganuzi Mushongole Adonis, YAREN began as a divine revelation calling to protect human dignity and create safe spaces for at-risk communities. From humble beginnings in Nakivale refugee settlement as Young African Refugees Entrepreneurs Network, as a community Based-Organization. We have grown into a national refugee-led organization serving thousands across multiple settlements, including Kampala. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, we stood strong, emerging more determined to make a lasting difference through structured initiatives in education, health, water and sanitation, women and youth empowerment, and humanitarian aid.
