In 2019: We contacted 85 women and young women for the prevention of sexual violence through training and counseling.

we have analyzed that our community suffers from a great lack of information due to the language barrier, but today it is part of the decision-making to avoid negativity in its social life for better health.

In 2021: We proceed with the distribution of face masks to 2,000 refugees most exposed to COVID-19 contamination donated by Field Ready during the containment period in September- October 2021. This activity is ongoing.

With the support of SUKHI 222 in September 2021, our organization distributed 26 Saw filters in schools, health centers, and the OPM Nakivale office to fight against the water-borne disease; the case of typhoid fever which is very common in the refugee camps in Uganda because of the dirty water of Lake Nakivale and the then fortunes dug by refugees in their plots.

Education

we offer different levels of training / courses, starting from classes for children (library classes and storytelling, English grammar), and adults (English, computer classes, self-promotion classes, entrepreneurship, and business basics).

STORY
To make all of that we have advocated for better governance of the refugee camp, young people are now involved in the leadership whereby the president of the entire Nakivale refugee camp is a youth and most of the leaders of the Refugee areas / villages are involved in the promotion of gander and a mention of disabilities are represented.

After mentoring and coaching young people about 52% of young people are busy and have become job creators in terms of entrepreneurship. Young people have their own private initiatives, schools that employ other refugees, a living room, a sewing center, empowerment centers, youth development groups and crafts. In 2019: We have trained 250 young people in different skills with local, national and international organizations, foundations and researchers.

YAREN has provided technical support to emerging organizations in the drafting of statutes and Internal Rules, Business plan, logical frameworks of projects and construction of websites. The case of HAIDOWO and SSPI of Nakivale. August, September and October 2021.
YAREN tained 5 young refugees in IT and photography. This training takes a period from September 2021 until February 2022. The lack of computer equipment and consistent photography causes YAREN to reduce the number of beneficiaries to this training so much requested by young refugees.
